Medtronic Distinguished Engineer Ramesh Marrey is the featured guest of Medical Design & Outsourcing‘s 2026 Nitinol Knowledge webinar on May 14. (UPDATE: This webinar is now available for on-demand replay here.)
Marrey works in the Medtronic Structural Heart & Aortic business unit’s R&D group and previously worked in the company’s Neurovascular business. He also worked at Cordis when it was part of Johnson & Johnson MedTech and then Cardinal Health.
Marrey has more than two decades of experience in implant biomechanics, computational design optimization, non-clinical testing and related regulatory strategies. His focus areas include structural finite element analysis; stent design (balloon-expandable, self-expanding, drug-eluting); computational fatigue and related material characterization; accelerated durability testing; patient-specific simulations and in-silico studies; and synthesis of clinical, bench and computational outcomes for demonstration of implant efficacy and safety.
