“The new facility will increase our square footage to 12,000 sq. ft,” David Schechter, president of Meddux, said. “This will allow us to expand our product development engineering areas and our manufacturing capacity, doubling the size of our Controlled Environment (CE) and adding a significant amount of warehouse space.”
Meddux is an engineering design and development firm for complex medical devices such as interventional and minimally invasive surgical devices. It has a modular offering with concept generation, human factors/usability engineering, stage-gate product development, design for manufacturability (DFM) and clinical/pilot manufacturing.
“We have focused on being flexible and responsive to our customer’s needs,” Schechter said. “Partnering with a product development firm can improve capital efficiency by controlling fixed costs. The key to success is working with a partner that can apply the right level of technical expertise and clinical understanding to make the program successful.”
