The approximately 1-million-square-foot facility marks the latest expansion to the company’s distribution network, following a buildout in Texas earlier this year. Northfield, Illinois-based Medline says it adds capacity and operational flexibility to support healthcare providers across the state. The company continues to expand operations following its $8 billion initial public offering (IPO), closed in December 2025.
Medline said the expansion also comes as it continues recovery and customer support efforts following a June 11 fire at its Tracy, California, distribution center. On July 6, the company said it secured more than 1.6 million square feet of new distribution space in Northern California.
“This investment marks another step in the continued growth of our California distribution network,” said Jim Eveland, VP of regional operations at Medline. “The additional capacity in Perris enhances the flexibility and resiliency of our supply chain while reinforcing our commitment to healthcare providers across the state.”
Between this and the addition of a Perris facility, the company expects its California distribution center to reach nearly 5 million square feet by mid-2027. Medline expects the facilities to house many of the same technologies already used at its other facilities.
“This new center reflects our continued focus on building a more resilient and responsive supply chain,” said Sherry Yeom, VP of regional acute care field sales at Medline. “Perris will add capacity, automation and regional flexibility that help us respond to California customers’ needs.”
