The expo is a networking opportunity that gathers designers, engineers, innovators and manufacturers from the medical and healthcare industries. The attendees have the opportunity to source products, explore new ideas, understand emerging technologies and conduct business with people who represent the medical device supply chain.
The NEC will house the Medtech Innovation Expo in 2019. Its centered at the U.K. road and rail network and is adjacent to Birmingham International Airport. Additionally, 2,000 hotel rooms are accessible from the location, allowing for more visitors.
A new venue will offer more opportunities for companies to exhibit their technology focused on medical plastics, digital health and connected devices, pharmaceutical technologies and early stage innovations. There will also be an expanded learning program to talk more about technology developments and innovations.
“With our first full year of ownership under our belt, and two editions completed we are now ready to execute on our ambition and plans for Medtech Innovation Expo,” said Duncan Wood, CEO of Rapid News Communications which owns the Medtech Innovation Expo. “Building a showcase event for the industry was always the plan, in 2019 we take the next step towards developing a truly exciting, international event for the medical device technology and healthcare sector in UK.”
The Medtech Innovation Expo is set to take place May 15-16, 2019 in Hall 2 at the NEC.
