29 cutting-edge medtech innovations recognized with Edison Awards

Synthace is a digital experiment platform for life science R&D teams.

Category: Health, Medical and Biotech
Subcategory: Intelligent Diagnostics

From the winners: “Synthace’s cloud-based digital experiment platform allows scientists to design and plan experiments, computationally simulate them, schedule experiments on their automation equipment, and aggregate experimental data in one place. Allowing reproducibility, and accelerated innovation, gathering critical data – all without the need to write code.”

“Synthace was founded by biologists discouraged by the tedious manual processes that plague lab work. An alarming amount of cutting-edge life science research still relies on spreadsheets, manual pipetting, USB sticks, and even pen and paper. This means that, right now, the only place an experiment actually exists is scattered across the mind, software, and hardware of the scientist. Only they can piece together the whole picture, and even then they may only be seeing a partial truth. By creating a digital experiment platform, Synthace makes it easier for scientists to see the bigger picture and derive greater insight from their experiments.”

“Synthace is unique because it is the first life science SaaS company to create a digital version of the fundamental building blocks of biological science: the experiment. This makes it easier for biologists to explore the complexity of biology because, on the one hand, it alleviates much of the manual, repetitive lab work that they otherwise must do to make discoveries in life sciences. But what is truly unique about Synthace is that it enables far more powerful experiments, opening up a whole new world of possibility for scientists working with biology.”
