Auria is a first-of-its-kind breast health assessment using tear proteins.

Category: Health, Medical and Biotech
Subcategory: Intelligent Diagnostics

From the winners: “Through tears, the Auria at-home breast health test determines if proteins are elevated due to any breast abnormality, providing a score and classification to assist in the timing of when to schedule a mammogram. The test kit includes all components to collect and return your tear sample and a consultation with a breast health specialist.”

“For more than a decade, we have been the leader in tear-sample-based research targeting breast health. We have engaged with comprehensive cancer centers across the US for clinical studies and have successfully identified proteins related to breast abnormality, all through the power of tears. In 2021, we validated the test in our high-complexity lab, and successfully met all guidelines for precision, accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity (both analytical and clinical), linearity, and assay range. We named the at-home breast health assessment test Auria and offer it directly to all women regardless of race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation.”

“We are the first to market a tear-based breast health assessment direct to consumer to increase screening compliance. Tears have a cleaner fluid than blood, which requires less processing and allows detection of small disease markers, and collection is simple and non-invasive. Our worldwide patents cover our collection process and biomarkers associated with tear-based testing.”
