MedTech Innovator today announced the selection of Crely Healthcare and Kesem Health as Travel Award winners at the organization’s inaugural Australia regional pitch event in Sydney.
Crely Healthcare and Kesem Health will now advance to the 2019 MedTech Innovator Asia Pacific Showcase Program at the fifth annual Asia Pacific MedTech Forum. The event, scheduled for October 8–9 in Singapore, will feature 20 medical technology startups from the Asia Pacific region.
Singapore-based Crely Healthcare was the International Travel Award winner at the Australia event. The company has developed a medical device–enabled SaaS platform to improve surgical outcomes.
Kesem Health, the Australian Travel Award winner, is a connected health startup with a fully automated, smartphone-connected bladder monitoring solution called iUFlow.
“Our goal in MedTech Innovator Asia Pacific is to find the most promising startups from across the Asia Pacific region and to give them access to our industry-leading corporate partners and world class ecosystem. We aim to ensure that their transformative health technologies reach patients and improve lives,” Jenell Robinson, head of MedTech Innovator Asia Pacific, said in a news release.
More than 170 companies applied for the Asia Pacific program, with eight startups selected to participate in the Sydney pitch event.
