Everyone has a story about how they got into medtech, and it’s no surprise that many of those stories start with family.

As Father’s Day approaches, Medical Design & Outsourcing asked medtech leaders to share some thoughts about how their dads inspired their careers, the products they make and the companies they’ve built. We’ve also asked medtech dads whether fatherhood has inspired their work in the field.

We can never say “thanks” often enough to truly show our gratitude — but one more time can’t hurt.

Read on to hear what medtech leaders had to say for Father’s Day. (Editor’s note: We originally published this post in 2022 and most recently updated it with new entries in June 2024. Email Managing Editor Jim Hammerand to submit your own stories.)
