Micron Electronics Announces Enhancements to its Prime One Line of Personal Safety Devices

December 22, 2016 By PR Newswire

Micron Electronics LLC unveiled today the company’s enhanced features to its mobile personal emergency response system (mPERS), the Prime One.

The Prime One device features two-way voice capabilities and simultaneously utilizes Wi-Fi and GPS to easily determine the user’s exact location in both indoor or outdoor settings. The Prime One’s dust-proof and water-resistant (up to 1 meter) design earned the device a durability rating of IP67, which ensures uncompromised reliability in nearly any everyday scenario.

The Prime One now includes fall detection alerts as a new standard feature, which relays a distress signal when a fall is detected. This automatic functionality is especially applicable to elderly users and individuals working in potentially dangerous environments.

The lightweight specifications (1.8 oz.) and durability of the device provides a minimally intrusive personal safety option to high-risk individuals like seniors or children, as well as workers in physically challenging, isolated or dangerous environments.

“Personal safety devices can provide something as significant as a lifesaving resource in an emergency, or little as added peace of mind for family and friends,” said Michael Xu, CEO of Micron Wireless. “No matter the intended use, these new features represent the latest step in perfecting the Prime One’s reliability in high stress or emergency circumstances.”

To learn more about the Prime One and the Prime 911 Responder and to find out how Micron Electronics can help your company better serve its user, visit www.micronwireless.net or call 888.538.3489.

Micron Electronics is a proud member of the Medical Alert Monitoring Association (MAMA) and previewed the device at the 2016 Annual Meeting in November. MAMA is the only professional trade association representing the needs of the medical alert monitoring and personal emergency response services industries.
