Midmark Corporation, a leading medical solutions provider and trusted leader in digital diagnostic devices for ambulatory care, recently announced a donation to The Ohio State University’s College of Medicine – Wexner Medical Center.
Midmark equipment was installed in two training centers – the Clinical Skills Education and Assessment Center – in the College of Medicine at the Wexner Medical Center. The donation of Midmark equipment, including Ritter 223 Barrier-Free exam tables, mobile treatment carts, Care Exchange 6206 workstations, a Ritter M11 UltraClave Automatic Sterilizer and more, will enhance new and existing instructional programs in the Center’s critical care bays and patient simulation areas.
“We’re grateful for Midmark’s support of our program and our students,” said Sheryl Pfeil, M.D., Medical Director, The Ohio State University’s Clinical Skills Education and Assessment Center. “The company’s continued support allows our students to be trained on equipment currently being used in hospitals and clinics, and to develop the skills they need to deliver efficient, effective patient care.”
Midmark has partnered with OSU on various projects, including clinic renovations for its College of Dentistry, now named the “Midmark Emergency Care Clinic.” The company has also worked with staff at OSU’s Thomas E. Rardin Family Practice Center on exam room workflow and product research, as well as The Ohio State Veterinary Medical Center to increase education in periodontal disease and pet dental care.
“We support OSU and the Center’s mission to promote and provide high quality clinical education and reliable assessment of skills and procedures to advance patient care,” said Kurt Forsthoefel, marketing director, medical products and services, Midmark.
