MTD Micro Molding (Charlton, Mass.) announced today that it has completed an 11,700-square-foot expansion that roughly doubles its cleanroom manufacturing space to 27,450 square feet.
The fast-growing medical micro molding business announced plans to expand in Charlton in 2017 — completing the project through the unexpected death of then-president Dennis Tully in 2019 and the COVID-19 pandemic that has battered the U.S. economy in 2020.
The expansion includes a new tooling department, more material storage, a new conference space, additional offices, and a fitness center for employees.
MTD is a single-source supplier for customers, performing all micromolding services in-house, in a single controlled environment.
Now that the expansion is complete, VP Gary Hulecki wonders when MTD Micro Molding will need another one: “Our fear is that we will grow out of this expansion, at the rate of growth we’re seeing.”
