Myomo recently announced that it has signed a distribution agreement with NeuroMuscular Orthotics to offer the company’s MyoPro throughout Australian and New Zealand.
NeuroMuscular Orthotics (NMO) is an Australian company that helps with orthotic care of individuals who have long-term functional impairment because of neurological and orthopedic pathologies. The company offers distribution, central fabrication and education to orthotists/prosthetists throughout Australia and New Zealand.
“NeuroMuscular Orthotics is excited to be partnering with the passionate and innovative team at Myomo to bring the MyoPro powered orthosis to Australia and New Zealand. As the only product of its kind, he MyoPro will unlock new possibilities for many Australians and New Zealanders with upper limb impairment, aiding in their social and economic participation, helping them to achieve their goals and live an ordinary life,” Darren Pereira, NMO’s director, said in a press release.
The two companies recently launched the MyoPro in Australia with a roadshow visiting Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Sydney and Gold Coast. On the trip, the two companies trained 25 orthotics and prosthetics clinicians, evaluated 30 potential MyoPro patients and trained allied rehabilitation physicians, physiotherapists and occupational therapists.
