Nanotech Precision announced that it introduced a new laser system to further its micromachining capabilities.
Osseo, Minn.-based Nanotech created the Multiplex element at both net size and one-quarter size to present design features demonstrating the laser system’s precision.
Multiplex includes key features such as a spiral cut, window cut and tri-cut holes. The spiral cut demonstrates Nanotech’s laser system’s ability to rotate and advance with accurate control, the window cut reveals the laser’s ability to cut features through and the tri-cut holes demonstrate the laser’s depth control and ability to cut through one side without damaging the other.
“Many engineers face roadblocks and constraints to size down designs, preventing them from further pushing the manufacturability envelope to miniaturize components,” Nanotech Precision GM Dale Skoog said in a news release. “Our laser system is the solution for engineers to go smaller, and we are excited to further advance and lead the way in micromachining with this new tool.”
Nanotech Precision offers high-volume production of small and micro-sized components and is dedicated to machining complex parts that can be used in medical manufacturing.
