Medical device and pharmaceutical packaging provider Nelipak Corp. (Cranston, R.I.) announced today that it has appointed Roger Prevot as its new CEO.
Prevot — who has been chair of Nelipak’s board since private equity shop Kohlberg bought it over the summer and later merged it with Bemis Healthcare Packaging Europe — has previously been a CEO at Graham Packaging and Packaging Dynamics Corp., as well as board chair at Spectrum Plastics Group and Cadence. He replaces previous Nelipak CEO Michael Kelly, who is retiring.
“I look forward to leading Nelipak into the next phase of its development as the legacy Nelipak business is integrated with the former European Healthcare Packaging business of Bemis Corp.,” Prevot said in a news release.
Nelipak Healthcare Packaging has facilities in Cranston, R.I.; Whitehall, Pa.; Phoenix, Ariz.; Venray, the Netherlands; Galway, Ireland; Clara, Ireland; Derry, Northern Ireland; Elsham, U.K.; Humacao, Puerto Rico; and San Jose, Costa Rica. It’s more than 1,400 employees develop and make custom packaging for medical devices and pharmaceuticals.
