Newport Corporation, a worldwide leader in photonics solutions, is introducing the BroadBeam Series of ultra-broadband high reflective mirrors. The new mirrors provide 97.5 % average reflectivity of laser beams for both S and P polarizations over an extremely broad band. Designed to be used from 350 to 1100 nm with a 0 to 50 degree angle of incidence, Newport’s BroadBeam Series features unprecedented specifications at an incredible value. The UV grade fused silica substrates are polished to λ/10 flatness and 20-10 or 40-20 scratch-dig surface quality to minimize scatter and maintain stability.
“Because of the very broad 350-1000nm wavelength range and high reflectivity efficiency, the mirror can be used with many different laser wavelengths and can easily replace all of the mirrors in your current system,” says Anna Sansan Wang, Optics Product Manager at Newport. “As a general purpose mirror, BroadBeam provides excellent performance at a very reasonable price.”
