Norman Noble plans to open a new rapid prototype manufacturing facility in Irvine, California.
The Ohio-based medical implant contract manufacturer expects the facility to expand its ability to support early-stage development and rapid prototyping while strengthening its collaboration with medical device OEMs in the Western U.S. It hopes to penetrate the medtech hub in Southern California, working with both established OEMs and startups.
“Opening a rapid prototype facility in Irvine is a strategic investment in how we support our customers throughout the product lifecycle,” Norman Noble CEO Dan Stefano said in a news release. “By expanding our R&D prototyping footprint, we’re enabling easier face-to-face collaboration, faster iteration, and more manufacturable designs. This ultimately helps OEMs bring innovative medical devices to market more quickly.”
The new facility in Irvine will complement the existing Norman Noble prototype and production plants in Ohio, Florida and Ontario, Canada.
“This location puts our technical team closer to our customers in California and the Western U.S. We are meeting our customers’ requests for a local rapid prototype facility with the most advanced laser cutting, shape setting, and electropolishing capabilities to manufacture prototype design iterations in a few days,” Norman Noble Global Sales & Marketing Direct Brian Hrouda said.
