OCTANe and Cedars/Aspens Society recently announced that it has forged a partnership to enhance ophthalmic surgery offerings for its annual Ophthalmology Technology Summit (OTS) this year. The summit will take place June 29 at the Fashion Island Hotel in Newport Beach, Calif. and will gather ophthalmology technologists, researchers, clinicians and entrepreneurs.
Cedars/Aspens is a non-profit society that has anterior segment surgeon educators whose mission is to expand the knowledge of ophthalmic surgery while fostering excellence in patient care through clinical experience, peer-to-peer exchange and practice education.

OTS 2018 offers a one-day forum that showcases innovations and creates partnerships between physicians, entrepreneurs, investors and other business entities that have a shared interest in advancing ophthalmology through technology.

OTS 2018 will also have a focus on groundbreaking ophthalmic technology, unmet clinical needs and new business opportunities. Allergan’s CEO Brent Saunders will be a keynote speaker for an open discussion about technological innovation in ophthalmology. Panel discussions will also focus on “Innovation and Perspectives in Ophthalmology,” “Practice Technologies and Their Impact” and “The Changing Practice Landscape” with various speakers from the medical field.
