The new case canting kit puts the Smart-Terminal enclosures on a 12-degree incline for a more ergonomic reading and operating angle. It does not require extra screws to fit the kit as the lava gray canting moldings are held together by the side covers. The canting kit also has four non-slip rubber feet to keep the enclosure in place. They also come with an included wall suspension element for secure flush-mounting and hardware kits.
Cases are available with flat anodized end panels or molded covers in UV stable lava gray ASA+PC-FR with deep recesses to protect cables and connectors. The covers are also inside soft-touch TPV gray or green seals. Case parts can be put together using Torx screws.
Smart-Terminal extruded enclosures are designed for peripheral and interface equipment, communications, safety engineering, biometrics, medical and laboratory technology, healthcare, measurement and control engineering. The aluminum case body has a large recessed area on top for a display, membrane keypads and other operating elements. The PCBs slide in to guide rails in the case body and can be fitted to the base.
The extruded enclosures are available in one width of 6.69 in. and a height of 1.96 in. They come in three lengths of 7.95 in., 9.52 in. and 11.10 in.
