AAOS Roundup: Corin Group launches Trinity dual mobility system for hip replacement
Corin recently released its Trinity Dual Mobility System at the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons annual meeting this year in New Orleans. The Trinity Dual Mobility System features new implant technology that is designed to improve the range of motion and reduce risk of instability and dislocation following hip replacement surgery. The system is also designed to be used with the company’s Optimized Positioning System (OPS).
Corin’s new system is a modular acetabular system that uses two articulating surfaces within the same joint space to give patients increased stability, multi-directional movement and a greater range of motion compared to conventional hip replacement.
Trinity Dual Mobility System is made from Corin’s ECIMA polyethylene which helps reduce the risk of in-vivo oxidation.
