OrthoView Announces the U.S. Launch of a New, Subscription-based, Digital Planning and Templating Solution for Individual Orthopaedic Surgeons

May 16, 2013 By PR Newswire

JACKSONVILLE, Florida, May 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — OrthoView PSL will allow individual surgeons in private practice in the U.S. to access the widely-used OrthoView digital templating software via the Cloud and requires just a PC and Internet connection to get started.

OrthoView, the leading independent provider of digital pre-operative planning software for over 10 years, is dedicated to enabling orthopaedic surgeons in hospitals and private practices to template with digital x-ray images, when printed film is unavailable. Over 5,000 orthopaedic surgeons in the U.S. are now templating with OrthoView, and the software is installed worldwide in over 1,850 hospitals and clinics.

OrthoView PSL is the latest offering from the developers of OrthoView – and, for the first time, provides orthopaedic surgeons with their own subscription-based OrthoView templating solution. Now, individual orthopaedic surgeons can make the decision to start creating their pre-operative plans with OrthoView, simply download the solution and start templating with digital images within a matter of hours.

Currently only available to orthopaedic surgeons in private practice in the U.S., OrthoView PSL is one of a range of purchase and licensing options available from OrthoView, based in Jacksonville, FL. Chief Operating Officer, William Peterson , explains, “OrthoView PSL is a direct response to the frustration expressed by many surgeons who want to move into the 21st century and plan their surgeries with digital x-rays, but who do not have access to a digital templating solution.  For many, OrthoView PSL will be a stepping-stone to an OrthoView solution with full PACS connectivity and facility-wide licensing options.”

Unlike other OrthoView licensing options, OrthoView PSL (Private User License) is a single-user license without PACS connectivity. Digital x-ray images are imported into the solution from the surgeon’s computer or a DICOM CD and the resulting plan can be printed or saved along with the images.

OrthoView PSL Subscriptions start from one month and can be purchased by registering your details at http://connect.orthoview.com/psl-overview/.
