Phillips-Medisize, a Molex company, announced today that it has expanded its Global Innovation and Development site in Struer, Denmark.
The Hudson, Wis.–based company — a contract manufacturing giant in the drug delivery device space — plans to open a dedicated Manufacturing Development and Clinical build unit in Stuer by the second quarter of 2020.
Phillips-Medisize will equip the Struer manufacturing facility with agile set up for cleanroom assembly and molding (e.g. for clinical trials). The cleanroom will take up roughly 500 m² of the existing 8400 m² building. The company has designed the facility to support late-stage development of medium- and high-volume products and processes, under GMP and using state-of-the-art equipment.
