Researchers from Purdue University have developed a device that will help find breast cancer risk factors.
Called “risk-on-a-chip,” the device is a small plastic chip designed with many thin layers. It includes an opening, just big enough for a piece of paper where researchers can slide in a tissue sample.
“We want to be able to understand how cancer starts so that we can prevent it,” said Sophie Lelièvre, a professor of cancer pharmacology at Purdue.
