University of Calgary student Jacob George walked into the make-a-thon Cochrane last summer with the intention to build something for fun, but walked away with a newly found passion.
George and his teammates created a robotic elbow device used to help those who have experienced a stroke and need help moving and strengthening their arms.
“Most people who have a stroke suffer arm impairment,” Jennifer Allford writes.
This project inspired George to begin his own business.
