Piezo Kinetics recently announced that it is expanding its manufacturing capabilities at its Bellefonte, Pa. headquarters.
The company is increasing its capacity by 25% for piezo ceramic parts production with an additional 10,000 sq. ft of manufacturing space. Piezo Kinetics’s space will increase from 43,000 sq. ft to 53,000 sq. ft. The new expansion marks the fourth expansion in eight years.
“As the industry has evolved through mass consolidation over the last several years, we believe this expansion will put us on stable footing as we expand our leadership position in the piezo ceramic industry,” Todd Baney, sales and marketing manager for Piezo-Kinetics, said in a press release.
The new expansion includes the use of new kilns and other machining and manufacturing equipment, according to the company. Part of the new space will also be dedicated to prototyping and large part manufacturing, including large cylinders.
Piezo Kinetics has seen double-digit growth in the last three years and plans to increase its workforce of 70 employees by adding another five workers by the end of the year.
