pMD Launches New Quality Data Reporting Tool for Medical Practices; App is Unmatched in its Ease of Use

December 9, 2016 By pMD

pMD, the innovation leader in health care technology, has launched an exceptionally intuitive and powerful Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) solution for medical practices. pMD’s reporting tools help practices who see Medicare patients successfully meet the federal program requirements, and it also positions them to report on their quality clinical data for 2017. Medicare Part B reimbursements in 2018 will be penalized by up to 6% for all eligible medical professionals who do not successfully report PQRS data for 2016.

pMD, whose mobile charge capture app allows physicians to enter medical billing charges into their smartphones and send text messages securely, has worked with many of its customers to record their PQRS data. pMD has now expanded its reporting solutions into a distinct product offering to help additional practices avoid the payment penalties and receive bonuses. PQRS, or the Physician Quality Reporting System, was designed by the federal agency Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. The program aims to promote quality patient care by requiring medical professionals to report a set of performance measures and quality codes. However, many medical practices have struggled to find an efficient and manageable way to report PQRS each year without jumping through administrative hoops.

pMD’s PQRS tools allow groups to add their data at any time of the year and receive data validation and real-time feedback on their progress through a user-friendly dashboard. The software is uniquely supported by a knowledgeable team of pMD employees to provide assistance with selecting the most applicable measures for practices by specialty. pMD also helps practices stay informed on new measures and regulations, including upcoming MIPS requirements.

“pMD’s PQRS Registry is fantastic,” said Dr. Davies Wong, a pulmonary and critical care specialist with Sharp HealthCare in San Diego, California. “We use pMD’s reporting tools to gain real-time visibility into our progress. pMD has been a practice-changing tool!”
