Now, a robot coach can help employees, who sit or stand at a desk all day, make healthier changes in posture and help eliminate ongoing back pain.
Giiro is a personal posture coach that can sit on a desk to ensure your posture and balance are intact.
The Giiro mat provides a cushion for users to stand on that contains 600 sensors which senses over 1,000 levels of pressure. It monitors how much weight is being applied to the left and right foot, and syncs the data with the Posturebot and Giiio app. The Alexa-enabled Giiro Posturebot provides real time feedback on your posture and even mimics your movements to portray what you are doing wrong.
Giiro has nine different expressions, which change depending on your posture. It will even cross its leg to mimic your posture if you are putting too much weight on one foot.
The app allows users to monitor their posture measurement in real time, and will label back posture accordingly, such as flat back, sway back, lordosis and more. The heart rate and breath monitor coincide with standing posture. Users can also compare their back posture throughout the week or month to see how their posture is improving. By providing pressure points on one’s feet, and determining where the most weight is being applied, the app can offer daily foot balance information. The app also provides stretching exercises that can be done at a desk to promote healthier stance.
By receiving a posture guide throughout the week, individuals can prevent forward head posture and waist disk in advance promoting a much healthier lifestyle.
