The system is fully-automated and has a one-button process that minimizes staff interaction and training requirements with its simple plug-and-play design. Chronos has an easy probe loading and unloading mechanism to provide a mobile device within departments in a heat care setting.
It delivers UV-C high-level disinfection as the particles and waves reflected from the chamber walls to ensure there is no shadowing on a probe surface. The disinfection process “penetrates the cell walls of microorganisms” such as bacteria, fungi, viruses, mycobacteria and spores, according to the company.
Germitec said the Chronos traceability system electronically captures and stores data on the device during the disinfection cycle to reduce human error, save time and improve compliance and audit readiness.
