Acuson Sequoia ultrasound system
Siemens Healthineers
Acuson Sequoia is an ultrasound system made by Siemens Healthineers that reduces the effects of ultrasound variability among patients, operators and the technology being used. The ultrasound system features InFocus imaging that eliminates the need for a conventional focal zone to create fully-focused images. It uses synthesized, retrospectively focused transmit beams throughout the field of view that focus at all depths of view. Custom tissue imaging changes the speed of sound per body type or pathology to improve focusing, spatial resolution and contrast resolution.
Acuson Sequoia also has UltraArt universal image processing that allows clinicians to select their preferred image parameter by choosing from one of four imaging options, according to Siemens Healthineers. The company’s Modality allows clinicians to easily compare images from other imaging modalities for simultaneous viewing with real-time ultrasound images.
The device can be used in the clinical imaging of the abdomen and breast, as well as cardiac cases, pediatrics, OB-GYN and more.
