ProEd Communications announces the expansion of its regulatory and market access services through the appointment of John Sall, PharmD, PhD, as executive VP of global regulatory services at ProEd, and a partnership with the newly formed Guarino Haskins Market Access (GHMA). ProEd and GHMA are members of the Healthcare Consultancy Group (HCG), part of the DAS Group of Companies.
Sall, who joins ProEd after a 20-year career in clinical and regulatory affairs, was most recently a global regulatory director for Stiefel, a GlaxoSmithKline company. His prior experience includes roles of increasing responsibility with AbbVie, Hospira, Cephalon, Novartis Pharmaceuticals and GlaxoSmithKline. He succeeds Dr. Mary Rofael, who was promoted to president of ProEd.
For more than 20 years, ProEd has provided expert scientific and strategic direction in medical affairs, publications and regulatory communications for pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies. In his new role, Sall will build on ProEd’s industry leadership in guiding more than 120 client teams through FDA advisory committee meetings, EU oral hearings and other critical regulatory interactions. He will drive ProEd’s growing clinical development and regulatory services, and help build compelling value propositions for clients’ products.
“Dr. Sall is a dynamic leader and a great addition to the team,” said Rofael, president at ProEd. “His infectious enthusiasm and energy, combined with his creativity and deep experience, will be of tremendous benefit to our clients and will help them develop earlier and more valuable relationships with regulators, payers, patients and other stakeholders.”
In partnership with ProEd’s newly formed sister agency, Guarino Haskins Market Access, Sall will lead the development of ProEd’s global value dossier service.
Market access, the discipline of defining and communicating the unique value provided by medications and medical devices, is becoming increasingly important in today’s rapidly changing healthcare marketplace. To address this growing need, HCG has launched GHMA, a new company that will combine the experience of leading market access professionals with the power of award-winning creative talent, to assist clients with consulting and policy analysis, marketing and health economic outcomes research (HEOR) communications.
