Qosina announced that it is currently monitoring the revision of ISO 80369-7, which specifies requirements for small-bore connectors.
ISO 80369-7 outlines the dimensions and requirements for the design and performance of small-bore connectors that are intended to be used in intravascular or hypodermic applications, according to a news release. Publication of the revision is expected by year-end 2020.
Ronkonkoma, N.Y.-based Qosina said it stocks nearly 100 compliant components under the guidelines provided in ISO 594-1/2 and ISO 80369-7, which are the current consensus standards.
The company added that its priority is to “stay abreast” of regulatory changes and safety standards in the industry, saying that its aim is to provide customers with solutions to achieve compliance, minimize risk and be innovative. Updates are expected to come as they are received while Qosina monitors the upcoming publication date.
