One adapter (No. 80460) features a female luer lock sideport connector. The other (No. 80461) has a 6-in. DEHP-free PVC sideport tube to a female luer lock connector.
Both tuohy borst adapters are available to fit 0 to 9 French guide wires. They have proprietary tri-cut silicone valve technology for a leak-proof seal.
Both components have a polycarbonate body and cap, and it takes fewer than 3 rotations to seal the valve, enabling rapid engagement of the seal and preventing hand fatigue. The wide cap design is meant to provide ease of use; it also has a stop mechanism to prevent it from separating from the body when fully opened. adapters feature a COPE swivel male.
