NeuroMetrix, Inc. has announced the CE approval for the wearable pain management device, Quell.
The system works by stimulating the sensory nerves which deliver neural pulses to the brain. The neural pulses send a message to the body to block the pain signals.
According to Quell, “It also offers advanced sleep tracking that provides feedback on eight dimensions of sleep including sleep duration, quality, body position, time out of bed, and repetitive leg movements throughout the night.”
Designed for users with chronic pain, users can to wear it while performing daily activities and sleeping, providing therapy 24/7. The device includes:
- Biphasic waveform
- Maximum output voltage (±10%) of 100 V
- Maximum output current (±10%) if 100 mA
- Pulse frequency (±4%) of 60-100 Hz
- Continuous pulse pattern
Users have control with the Quell Relief app (available for both iOS and Android) which provides options for starting, stopping, and adjusting therapy intensity.
Quell can be used for nerve pain, arthritic and joint pain, leg and foot pain, widespread pain, and lower back pain.
