Quest International announced today that it is expanding its ISO 13485 service infrastructure in response to increased demand for ventilators and related medical devices during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Irvine, Calif.-based Quest International shifted team members to focus on repairing and remediating ventilator devices, particularly in the depot and field service & logistics areas, according to a news release.
Quest already offers a full suite of services for OEMs and said in a news release that it plans to work with manufacturers so they can send in respirators and other critical medical devices that require repairs, scheduled maintenance or mandated upgrades. The company generally offers repairs, refurbishment, field services and forward/reverse logistics, among other services.
“By offering auxiliary assistance to medical device manufacturers, we’re hoping to do our part to assist during this global crisis,” Quest International VP of global service solutions Pasha Arshadi said in the release. “Our streamlined ISO 13485 certified operations ensure we maintain quality and regulatory compliance standards and allow us to receive the unit, complete service, and ship it much faster with our dedicated teams – minimizing downtime and addressing customer demand.”
