Kernen is set to replace Michael Stellwag who departed from Raumedic in June 2016.
His responsibilities as CFO will include oversight and enhancement of financial and cost accounting, purchasing, IT, customer service, disposition and organization.
“Raumedic is a dynamic international company in a market that is focused on the future. I am really excited about this opportunity to contribute my experience to this fascinating business and to help shape new developments,” said Kernen in a press release.
Prior to Raumedic, Kernan had a variety of managerial positions at the Rehau Group. Most recently, he was Anklam Extrakt’s commercial director where he oversaw operations at the company.
“Bernhard Kernen has many years of international professional and managerial experience. He also takes a strategic approach to his work,” said Raumedic CEO Martin Bayer. “All of these characteristics will help us move forward.”
