Raumedic will be presenting its polymer solutions for medical and pharmaceutical applications at Compamed and Medica on Nov. 13-16 in Düsseldorf, Germany.
The company is showcasing its highly flexible, high-pressure tubing that is used for angiography as well as its disposable cartridges for wearable drug delivery systems.
High-pressure tubing for angioplasty needs to have optimal imaging and has to be able to withstand the forceful injections of the contract medium. It also has to stay flexible and kin-resistant. Raumedic uses extrusion to make sure the requirements are fit into its braided and coextruded design.
Raumedic’s disposable cartridges for path pumps are designed using extrusion, injection molding and assembly.
“Today, patch pumps worn on the body can control the supply of insulin in diabetes therapy. We are also noticing a growing number of approved drugs for self-medication,” Thomas Knechtel, director of business unit systems at Raumedic, said in a press release. “We therefore see strong opportunities for growth in these types of drug injection devices and are excited to see the reactions from visitors at our stand.”
The company will be presenting in hall 8a, stand F28 at Compamed and hall 11, stand G42 at Medica.
