RightBio Metrics recently introduced the new point-of-care diagnostic devices. Designed with an innovative in vitro pH indicator, the RightSpot pH Indicator, RightSpot Infant pH Indicator, and RightLevel pH Detector provide safer nasogastric (NG) tube placement and accurate gastric acidity measurement. The products, which are housed under the brand RightpH, accurately measure bio fluids at the bedside to enhance the speed and quality of medical treatment. The RightSpot pH Indicator and RightSpot Infant pH Indicator are small, non-invasive devices that are used to verify gastric acidity to avoid misplacement of NG feeding/suction tubes and percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) tubes. The third device, the RightLevel pH Detector, quickly measures stomach pH levels of critically ill patients to aid in proper medication dosage for treating gastric ulcers and bleeding. Because the devices do not use paper test strips, they are safer, cleaner and more accurate in measurements, giving clinicians additional confidence in NG tube placement.
