Saint-Gobain introduces film brands and website

December 23, 2016 By Danielle Kirsh

The films business of Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics announced its new brands that better reflect its best-in-class technical capabilities, products, markets and applications. Additionally, a new website has been launched containing updated product and application information as well as a downloadable collection of new literature and data sheets.

Its newest brand, Norfilm performance coated solutions, continues the proud heritage and legacy of its original Norton plastics business. These performance coated film composites are custom developed and utilize precision finishes, coatings and lamination technologies to add specific performance elements to engineering-grade film substrates. Norfilm products are commonly found in medical, optical, automotive and industrial applications.

The Chemfilm high performance films now includes all films produced with specialty fluoropolymer and polyimide plastics. Chemfilm products are created by using state of the art casting, extruding and skiving processes and are manufactured in plants worldwide. These films are utilized in applications that demand performance in extreme environments. Chemfilm products are commonly used in aerospace, electronic and life sciences applications.

A new website reflects the brand image. It is designed for ease of use on any web device including mobile. The site contains a complete collection of all-new literature and datasheets. This is a substantial new resource for our customers as they utilize digital information more and more in their product selection processes.
