The Scapa Soft-Pro Silicone Gel is gentle enough to be applied directly on an open chronic or acute wound.
Today, Scapa Healthcare announces the launch of its new perforation capability for Scapa Soft-Pro Silicone Gel adhesives. The new capability allows Scapa Healthcare to offer its strategic business partners an expansive range of skin friendly turn-key solutions for the advanced wound care market.
Scapa Soft-Pro Silicone Gel is a low trauma adhesive that allows for easy application, removal and reapplication on the same area. Its gentle skin friendly properties are ideal for users with fragile and sensitive skin. The new perforation capability allows Scapa Healthcare to meet dressing challenges for exudate management in the advanced wound care market.
Gentle enough to be applied directly on an open chronic or acute wound, perforated Scapa Soft-Pro Silicone Gel delivers enhanced breathability and improved wound management. The perforations allow for transmission of fluid and wound exudate into the absorbent layer of the dressing, better managing wound surface moisture and risk of maceration.
Scapa Soft-Pro Silicone Gel is now available in a 2.8mm perforated format. Material widths range from 90mm to 270mm. The perforated silicone gel layer is ideal for use with absorbable components in a layered dressing construction.
The new capability allows Scapa Healthcare to offer a more comprehensive range of advanced wound care dressings that support patient comfort and recovery time.
