The polarized inlets are widely used in portable audio devices, cable boxes, gaming, and other consumer products.

SCHURTER introduces two new appliance inlets, alike to IEC, style C8, for protection class II appliances. The 2577 and 2579 series polarize the line contact of the power mains into the appliance. The polarized inlets are widely used in portable audio devices, cable boxes, gaming, and other consumer products. The inlets offer solid pin construction versus folded pins, ensuring a higher degree of contact integrity.

The 2577 and 2579 series are rated 2.5 A @ 250 Vac, consistent with the IEC standard. They are UL/CSA approved for 2.5 A at 250 Vac and 7 A @ 125 Vac by UL/CSA. The 2577 is designed for screw-on mounting while the 2579 accommodates snap-in mounting, 1.0 / 1.5 / 2.0 / 2.5 / 3.0 mm. Both of the series are configurable with solder, quick connect, or PCB terminals in various shapes and orientations as well as in black, grey, or white color choices. The 2577 and 2579 are intended for use with mating polarized cordsets, C7p.

Pricing starts at $0.83 per piece at 500 pieces. Packaging is 100 pieces per box. Data sheet and additional info: schurter.com.
