Sensirion releases ultra-lower power gas sensor

Sensirion has launched its ultra-lower power gas sensor, the SGPC3, that makes indoor air quality sensing available for mobile and battery applications.

The new gas sensor has a supply current of less than 0.07 mA and can provide indoor air quality measurements with several years of battery lifetime. It also offers a complete gas sensor system that is packaged inside a 2.45-by-2.45-by-0.9 mm3 DFN package.

Sensirion’s MOXSens Technology inside the SGPC3 allows the sensor to withstand against contamination from siloxanes which makes it have long-term stability.
