The SINBON Electronics site in Jiangyin, China has become the first in Asia to gain an accreditation from MedAccred after meeting all the requirements for cable and wire harness assemblies. During a challenging four-day audit, the SINBON team in Jiangyin were successfully able to demonstrate that their manufacturing processes are fully compliant with MedAccred’s Audit Criteria for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies.

MedAccred is a global audit program for critical process manufacturing. It is being used by the medical device industry to reduce risk to patient safety, assure quality products and compliance to both general industry requirements (including international standards), and requirements from participating medical device OEMs which include Johnson & Johnson, Philips and Stryker.

“It is a great achievement for MedAccred to have the first supplier accredited in Asia,” said Michael Lau, Senior Designer Cable Engineering for Stryker, a member of the MedAccred Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies Task Group. “It demonstrates the truly global nature of this program and I am very pleased that this first accreditation in Asia has been awarded to SINBON for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies. The audit criteria developed by the industry Task Group are very stringent. As an industry, we are confident that any company which is able to meet or exceed those criteria is manufacturing product to an extremely high level of quality and can be considered a trusted and valued supplier. My congratulations to everyone on the team at SINBON Jiangyin.”

“To be the first company in Asia to receive an accreditation of any type from MedAccred is a tremendous accolade for SINBON,” said Arif Rashid, Director for SINBON Electronics. “It is a clear demonstration that SINBON takes seriously its commitment to providing our customers with top-quality products. By earning this accreditation from the MedAccred program, which is recognized by so many key companies in the industry, SINBON is sending a clear message to the market that we are dedicated to the highest standards of quality for critical process manufacturing.”

Following their success in Jiangyin, SINBON now plans to implement MedAccred in several other global sites.
