Remembering to take medications everyday isn’t always the easiest task for some. Now, a ‘smart’ pill box called Memo Box can customize individual alarms to remind people to take their daily dose of medications.
There are a total of seven ‘smart’ pill boxes to set up medications for the entire week. After managing your meds with the Memo Health app, and capturing prescriptions with a camera, patients can ensure they are taking the right pills each day and never behind on a prescription.
After organizing seven days of dosage in the click of a button, users can even customize their pill-alert alarms to sleep-in on the weekends. There are three types of reminder modes: Regular, Extended and Smart mode. The regular mode reminds you with both audio and visual alerts during a 30-minute period with 10-minute intervals (in case you get sidetracked). Meanwhile, the Extended mode reminds you with audio and visual alerts during a 90 minute period with 10 minute intervals. This mode is often chosen if you press the snooze button or are busy during this time. Lastly, the Smart mode is for if you take your medication before the set alarm. The Memo Box will then record the medication as ‘taken.’
The alert elements range from music, LED lights, and even to family calls if the family member is linked to your reminder app and sees you may have missed a dose. The over-dose safeguard reminds you if you took your medication, just in case you’re doubting whether or not you took a medication already. The app tracks if the Memo Box has been opened, and will alert you if it thinks you’ve take one two-many.
Family members can link to a user’s account via the Memo Health app and check on loved ones. The caregiver will be notified via the family tracker if someone misses their dose, where they can send a friendly reminder to their loved one to take their medication.
Additionally, if a user is leaving the house for a few days, the app will send an alert saying, “You’re leaving home without Memo Box.” The GPS fence and Bluetooth ensures the pill box is never forgotten, and users never go without their mandatory medications. With the USB charging and 35 mAh battery, Memo Box can last for 30 days.
