SMC recently announced that it is expanding is drug delivery device capabilities by adding a pharmaceutical class 7 cleanroom at its Somerset, Wisc. facility.
“As we continue to experience growth in the pharmaceutical market, we realized the need for additional clean room capabilities in our Somerset, Wisc. location,” Chetan Patel, CEO of SMC, said. “The dedicated class 7 cleanroom will house a major customer, and allows room for future growth. We’re excited to offer these capabilities which are important for existing customers, and future pharmaceutical device programs.”
SMC currently offers contract manufacturing solutions of single-use devices for the pharmaceutical, medical and diagnostic industries. The new class 7 clean room adds on to the company’s existing 700,000 sq. ft dedicated, healthcare manufacturing facility.
