ST. PAUL, Minn.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Spineology Inc., the innovator in anatomy-conserving spine
surgery, announced today that it will unveil its new Threshold™ pedicular
fixation system at the North American Spine Societys 2011 Annual Conference in
early November.
“Pedicular fixation systems are a fundamental technology in
the treatment of spinal pathologies”
The Threshold system is designed to accommodate mini-open
and percutaneous implantation of screws and rods for the treatment of painful
spinal conditions. The system uses simple “over-the-wire” techniques for
placement of the screws and has numerous unique instruments for delivery of the
rods and set screws.
“Our goal in developing the Threshold System was to make an
MIS system that is as user friendly as possible,” said Karen Roche, Vice
President of R&D for Spineology.
“Pedicular fixation systems are a fundamental technology in
the treatment of spinal pathologies,” said John Booth, CEO for Spineology. “The
issue with many of the existing systems is the invasiveness associated with
their implantation. The Threshold system follows Spineologys anatomy
conserving design philosophy and will be a great addition to our product line.”
