Medical device development firm Sunrise Labs announced that it recently had a 118kW solar array installed at its Bedford, N.H. office.
The system comprises 267 photovoltaic panels that are expected to produce over 100 megawatt-hours of electricity each year.
“We believe that climate change affects everyone’s lives deeply and we hope that we’re setting an example of what can be done to prevent an environmental crisis”, said Eric Soederberg, president of Sunrise Labs, said in a news release.
The new solar array will offset more than 114,000 pounds of carbon pollution annually — equivalent to planting 1,300 tree seedlings, according to ReVision Energy, which installed the solar panels.
Sunrise Labs has also committed to installing electric vehicle charging stations and a bonus to employees who purchased an electric vehicle over the last year, according to the release.
