Synopsys Simpleware Product Group recently announced that it has launched its Simpleware R-2021.03 fully automated segmentation and landmarking tools.
The AI-enabled software is made for new anatomies to improve orthopedic and cardiology-based workflows.
Simpleware AS Ortho and AS Cardio have fast and accurate solutions with machine learning algorithms for segmenting and landmarking anatomical structures, according to the company. The algorithms are verified by clinical professionals and are scalable to process large batches of data up to 50 times faster than traditional methods.
The modules are a one-click solution to help reduce tedious manual work on medical image data while producing models in 1-3 minutes with a standard engineering laptop. The software is run on local hardware to eliminate the need to upload confidential patient data to an offsite server for processing.
In the March release, the company said it is adding Ankle CT and Knee CT tools to the Simpleware AS Ortho module, and updates to the existing Knee MRI tool, and plans to update the existing Knee MRI tool. The update will allow clinicians to clinicians to easily work on medical image data by automatically segmenting and landmarking the hip, knee and ankle in a few clicks. The Simpleware AS Cardio update features an addition of automatic coronary artery segmentation and new landmarks.
