Sysmex America Appoints Vice President of Sales

January 26, 2011 By Bio-Medicine.Org

MUNDELEIN, Ill., Jan. 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Sysmex, a global
leader in medical diagnostic testing equipment and information
systems technology, today announced that Andrew (Andy) Hay has been
named as Sysmex America’s Vice President of Sales effective
immediately.  Hay, a long-time Sysmex employee, is responsible
for leading all direct sales, distributor sales, corporate
accounts, sales training and sales operational activities for the
U.S. Region.  Hay reports directly to Bob Degnan, Executive
Vice President of Commercial Operations.  Sysmex America is
the U.S. headquarters for Sysmex Corporation, Kobe, Japan and has
oversight of the corporation’s subsidiaries in Canada and Latin
America.

Hay’s tenure with Sysmex spans over a twenty-year period
beginning with his first company position as a Sales Representative
for Northern UK.  From this position, his career progressed
through product marketing and company management within the UK,
with a global responsibility in R & D.  After assisting
with the establishment of Sysmex UK in 1991, Hay relocated to
Indianapolis where he worked for Sysmex as the Distributor Manager
located at Roche Diagnostics until the establishment of Sysmex
America, Inc. in 2003.  Since that time, Hay has played a key
role in Sysmex’s U.S. operations. Prior to his promotion to Vice
President of Sales, Hay served as the company’s Assistant Vice
President of Corporate Accounts. Hay is also the recipient of
Sysmex Corporation’s 2007 Presidential Award.

“Andy brings a wealth of knowledge to his position as Vice
President of Sales, both internally from a company perspective as
well as with his experience and expertise in the clinical
diagnostics industry.  We trust that his expanded areas of
responsibilities will mutually benefit the growth of Sysmex America
while simultaneously empowering our sales team with customer-driven
focus.  We look forward to Andy’s contributions for many more
