Sysmex Canada has appointed Ian Heynen as the company’s general manager. He will report to the CEO and will be responsible for overseeing the business strategy in Canadian markets and all aspects of operations, including marketing, sales and technical service functions.
Heynen has more than 15 years of leadership experience in healthcare companies. Prior to joining Sysmex Canada, he served as senior VP of sales and marketing for Profound Medical where he led commercial teams to grow global sales by opening new and expanding existing markets. He also developed direct and distributor-based sales channels and forged partnerships with Philips and Siemens MRI. Heynen has also worked for Hologic and Sentinelle, where he was CFO and chief operating officer.
