Tech-Etch offers the ability to design the ideal shield for any application. By using the latest technology available including Solid Works and AutoCad, simply send in circuit board electronic data files and Tech-Etch will provide customized shielding files and drawing designs for any requirements.
Board level shielding is typically etched from 0.007 to 0.020 in. brass, nickel silver, copper or cold rolled steel. It can also be manufactured out of beryllium copper, if spring qualities are desired. The standard finish is tin plate, but other finishes are available.
One-piece board level shields
Depth-etch bend lines on one-piece shields allow forming without tooling by the customer or the factory, and therefore incur no tooling charges. Download the RFQ here.
Two-piece spring finger shields
This design incorporates a unique spring finger style attachment between fence and cover. The use of this design can be customized to almost any possible configuration including rectangular, “L” shaped, “V” shaped, or even irregular shapes.

Two-piece low-profile SlimShield
SlimShield is a low-profile, two-piece board level shielding line with a dimpled cover that snaps into etched holes on the fence and offers shield heights as low as 0.060 in. Standard dimple tooling offers variable dimple location with excellent cover retention at a low cost. Download the RFQ here.
