Tech-Etch is touting its manufacturing of precision thin metal parts from specialty stainless steel alloys like MP35 that can be used in medical device implants, Elgiloy that is used in replacement heart valves and 716 and 420 alloys used for surgical blades.
Tech-Etch uses a photo etching process to create component parts for industrial, aerospace and medical applications. Photo etching helps create products that are burr-free parts that have intricate and complex shapes. The designs can be proved in preproduction quantities without having to commit to expensive tooling.
Other etched materials include Inconel, Hastelloy, titanium, niobium, nitinol and magnesium, which is being used as a bioresorbable surgical implant material. The parts that Tech-Etch makes can range in thickness from .0005 in. and bigger.
The company also offers forming, heat treating, plating, laminating and assembly with its precision thin metal parts manufacturing.
